Stephanie Baker is a senior research associate and the lead for the Dock to Door (D2D) Workforce Development and Community Engagement program. With over 25 years of experience at VTTI, she specializes in facilitation, qualitative research, and educational outreach. She has worked on a variety of projects, including an educational outreach program for teen drivers on how to safely share the road with heavy trucks, a focus group study related to passenger acceptance of automated driving systems, and a project exploring educational outreach for new vehicle technologies including advanced driver assistance systems and electric vehicles.

Prior to joining VTTI, Stephanie earned her M.P.A. from the University of Georgia (UGA) along with a Certificate in Environmental Ethics. As a graduate assistant at UGA, she received training in community development facilitation, which sparked her interest in the use of facilitation for research and outreach. After graduate school, she served in the Peace Corps as a Community and Organizational Development Volunteer.
